This is a very welcoming place and small facility, so you get a lot of one-on-one attention. The food is excellent and they take you on a lot of fun outings. If you want a good foundation to start your recovery, this is a wonderful facility.

Loved the various counselors they have with years of practice. They have various styles and thus I think you’ll find several if not all, that are helpful in your journey.

TBH went above and beyond to help me with my recovery. I needed a 2 week reset after a relapse and they gave more effort and appreciation than the other recoveries I have been to they go above and beyond to help with one on one care and a super supportive family style care. Allison was one of the best parts with being super helpful as the program director

Healing, growth, a beautiful new beginning—and the new family I found along the way. My time at Tennessee Behavioral Health was a true journey of transformation. Through patience, compassion, and genuine care from the staff, I began to heal in ways I never expected. What started as an uncertain step toward change became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I found peace, clarity, and confidence, and left with a deep sense of self and purpose that I’ll carry forever. The house at Tennessee Behavioral Health is truly a place of comfort and healing. The outings and gym time were always enjoyable and gave us moments to relax, recharge, and feel normal again. Charles’s groups were meaningful and encouraging, helping us learn, grow, and connect. Attending church brought peace and renewal. The health care staff is beyond exceptional. Morgan, the Health Care Director, leads with compassion and integrity, setting the tone for the team. Leah Lima, APN, and nurses Laci, Candi, Meghan, and Chantelle are extraordinary—each provides care that goes far beyond medical needs. They listen, support, and make you feel truly seen and valued, and their kindness and dedication made each day feel safe and hopeful. The technicians—Scott, Dylan, and Jack—are amazing. They’re patient, funny, and genuinely care. Whether it was a conversation, a shared laugh, or help with something small, they always brought warmth and positivity. Chris, the chef, is wonderful—his food is incredible. Every meal tasted like it came straight from a five-star restaurant, and his kindness made dining something to look forward to every day. Johnna, my case manager, truly changed my life. She understood me deeply and was there every step of the way—listening, guiding, and supporting me through my growth. Her compassion, humor, and steady encouragement helped me rediscover parts of myself I thought were gone. Johnna is one of those rare people who make you feel seen and supported no matter what, and I’ll always be grateful for her. Allison, the Program Director, is one of the most compassionate and genuine people I’ve ever met—and hilarious in the best way. Her humor brightens even the hardest days, and her laughter fills the house with warmth. Beyond that, Allison is an exceptional leader—she balances professionalism with heart, always taking time to listen and understand. She goes above and beyond for everyone under her care, advocating fiercely and offering support that’s both wise and heartfelt. Her empathy and authenticity make her someone who instantly feels like home. Albert, the Director of Tennessee Behavioral Health, is the heart and soul of the program. His dedication and compassion are unmatched. He pours his heart into every part of Tennessee Behavioral Health—the home, the staff, and every client. The love and effort he invests are felt in every corner of the house. Albert leads with sincerity, vision, and a true commitment to helping others heal. His presence inspires trust, hope, and belonging. His passion has built something truly special—something that changes lives every single day. I thank God for being blessed with Tennessee Behavioral Health. It isn’t just a program—it’s a family. I love each of them dearly for the compassion, encouragement, laughter, and faith they poured into me. They believed in me until I could believe in myself. Because of them, my life is filled with peace, confidence, and hope—and I’ll forever be grateful for everything Tennessee Behavioral Health gave me. ❤️

Importance of Gender-Specific Rehab for Women

Gender-specific addiction treatment programs are essential for addressing the distinct challenges women face in addiction and recovery. Designed exclusively for women, these programs consider the impact of factors such as societal expectations, body image concerns, and co-occurring conditions. A gender-specific treatment approach offers the supportive and empathetic environment women need to heal.

These programs are particularly effective in treating substance abuse treatment programs and addressing co-occurring mental health disorders, such as anxiety or depression. They also provide tools to confront underlying issues, such as trauma or hormonal fluctuations, which may contribute to substance use disorders. Evidence-based treatments like dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy, combined with holistic approaches, help women develop healthier coping strategies.

Trauma-Informed Care

Women are more likely to have experienced trauma, such as physical or sexual abuse, which can contribute to addiction and mental health challenges. Gender-specific rehab programs are often trauma-informed, addressing these issues in a sensitive and supportive manner.

Peer Support

Women in gender-specific programs can develop close bonds and peer support systems with others who share similar life experiences and challenges. These relationships can be invaluable in the recovery process.

Relationship and Family Dynamics

Gender-specific rehab programs can explore the specific relationship and family dynamics that women often deal with, such as motherhood, parenting, and codependency.

Safety from Co-Ed Distractions

Gender-specific rehab eliminates the distractions and potential complications that can arise from co-ed environments, allowing women to focus entirely on their recovery.

Childcare Services

Some women's rehab programs offer childcare services, allowing mothers to receive treatment while ensuring their children are cared for.

Addressing Shame and Guilt

Women may experience specific shame and guilt related to their addiction or mental health issues. Gender-specific rehab can address these emotions and offer coping strategies.

Our Approach to Women's Drug Detox

Our Women’s Detox Program is grounded in principles of compassion, respect, and individualized care. We understand that women often face unique challenges in addressing substance abuse disorders, and our program is designed to meet these specific needs. By focusing on tailored solutions, we provide a supportive environment that helps women achieve a substance-free life and establish a strong foundation for sobriety.

Experienced and Supportive Team

Our team of medical professionals, therapists, and counselors are experts in addiction treatment programs and are committed to supporting women throughout the detox process. They provide a safe environment where women feel comfortable addressing their struggles with alcohol addiction, drug addictions, and mental health conditions. The team’s understanding of the physical and emotional components of detox ensures each woman receives the care she needs to successfully navigate this critical phase.

Safety and Comfort

Detoxification can be a physically and emotionally challenging process. Our Women’s Detox Program prioritizes your safety and comfort by offering a medically supervised detox stage to manage withdrawal symptoms. Whether addressing alcohol detox, drug detox programs, or co-occurring disorders, our focus is on ensuring a smooth transition to further treatment. Our medical detox program includes resources to address both the physical symptoms and underlying causes of addiction.

Individualized Treatment Plans

Each woman’s journey to recovery is unique, and our program begins with a thorough assessment to create custom treatment plans tailored to individual needs. This includes evaluating the substance of abuse, medical records, and co-existing mental health conditions to develop the most effective protocol. Our programs address a range of conditions, including opioid addiction, alcohol abuse, and the long-term effects of illicit drugs or substance use disorders.

Holistic Support

Our Women’s Detox Program provides holistic and evidence-based therapies that address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of addiction. We incorporate approaches like animal-assisted therapy and individual therapy, offering women tools to build a healthy and fulfilling daily life. This comprehensive approach ensures women in recovery can develop healthier habits and positive coping mechanisms for a successful path to recovery.

Counseling and Therapy

Many women benefit from counseling sessions that explore the underlying causes of their addiction, including history of trauma, cultural norms, or other co-occurring illnesses. Our program includes family therapy, individual therapy, and group sessions to foster honest communication and emotional healing. Women can also explore dual diagnosis programs to address both addiction and mental health issues, building a solid foundation for long-term recovery.

Aftercare Planning

Detox is only the beginning of the recovery journey. Our team works closely with each woman to create an aftercare plan that includes intensive outpatient programs, participation in alumni networks, and connections to community resources. These plans are designed to help women maintain sobriety, engage in ongoing therapy, and continue their healing journey in a supportive environment.

At Tennessee Behavioral Health, we are dedicated to empowering women through high-quality clinical treatment, individualized care, and a healing journey that addresses their specific needs. Our focus on compassionate care and evidence-based treatments ensures that every woman receives the support necessary to achieve a substance-free life and a meaningful future.
