This is a very welcoming place and small facility, so you get a lot of one-on-one attention. The food is excellent and they take you on a lot of fun outings. If you want a good foundation to start your recovery, this is a wonderful facility.

Through my struggles the last two years, Tennessee Behavioral Health (TBH) is a safe place to rest. The staff is generous, kind, and truly care for each client. I’m grateful I was able to spend the last month with TBH. They saved my life. They did not judge me. Thank you TBH!

TBH went above and beyond to help me with my recovery. I needed a 2 week reset after a relapse and they gave more effort and appreciation than the other recoveries I have been to they go above and beyond to help with one on one care and a super supportive family style care. Allison was one of the best parts with being super helpful as the program director

Healing, growth, a beautiful new beginning—and the new family I found along the way. My time at Tennessee Behavioral Health was a true journey of transformation. Through patience, compassion, and genuine care from the staff, I began to heal in ways I never expected. What started as an uncertain step toward change became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I found peace, clarity, and confidence, and left with a deep sense of self and purpose that I’ll carry forever. The house at Tennessee Behavioral Health is truly a place of comfort and healing. The outings and gym time were always enjoyable and gave us moments to relax, recharge, and feel normal again. Charles’s groups were meaningful and encouraging, helping us learn, grow, and connect. Attending church brought peace and renewal. The health care staff is beyond exceptional. Morgan, the Health Care Director, leads with compassion and integrity, setting the tone for the team. Leah Lima, APN, and nurses Laci, Candi, Meghan, and Chantelle are extraordinary—each provides care that goes far beyond medical needs. They listen, support, and make you feel truly seen and valued, and their kindness and dedication made each day feel safe and hopeful. The technicians—Scott, Dylan, and Jack—are amazing. They’re patient, funny, and genuinely care. Whether it was a conversation, a shared laugh, or help with something small, they always brought warmth and positivity. Chris, the chef, is wonderful—his food is incredible. Every meal tasted like it came straight from a five-star restaurant, and his kindness made dining something to look forward to every day. Johnna, my case manager, truly changed my life. She understood me deeply and was there every step of the way—listening, guiding, and supporting me through my growth. Her compassion, humor, and steady encouragement helped me rediscover parts of myself I thought were gone. Johnna is one of those rare people who make you feel seen and supported no matter what, and I’ll always be grateful for her. Allison, the Program Director, is one of the most compassionate and genuine people I’ve ever met—and hilarious in the best way. Her humor brightens even the hardest days, and her laughter fills the house with warmth. Beyond that, Allison is an exceptional leader—she balances professionalism with heart, always taking time to listen and understand. She goes above and beyond for everyone under her care, advocating fiercely and offering support that’s both wise and heartfelt. Her empathy and authenticity make her someone who instantly feels like home. Albert, the Director of Tennessee Behavioral Health, is the heart and soul of the program. His dedication and compassion are unmatched. He pours his heart into every part of Tennessee Behavioral Health—the home, the staff, and every client. The love and effort he invests are felt in every corner of the house. Albert leads with sincerity, vision, and a true commitment to helping others heal. His presence inspires trust, hope, and belonging. His passion has built something truly special—something that changes lives every single day. I thank God for being blessed with Tennessee Behavioral Health. It isn’t just a program—it’s a family. I love each of them dearly for the compassion, encouragement, laughter, and faith they poured into me. They believed in me until I could believe in myself. Because of them, my life is filled with peace, confidence, and hope—and I’ll forever be grateful for everything Tennessee Behavioral Health gave me. ❤️

Importance of Getting Help with Anger Management Treatment
Seeking professional support for anger issues is essential to improving quality of life and preventing the negative effects of destructive behavior. Uncontrolled anger can lead to physical aggression, domestic abuse, road rage, and even contribute to health conditions such as coronary heart disease. Here’s why seeking anger management counseling is critical:
Improved Relationships
Uncontrolled anger can damage relationships with family, friends, and colleagues. Anger management helps individuals develop healthier communication and conflict-resolution skills, which are essential for maintaining positive and supportive relationships.
Conflict Resolution
Effective anger management equips individuals with strategies to resolve conflicts and disagreements in a more constructive and productive manner. This can lead to better outcomes and reduced stress in personal and professional relationships.
Emotional Well-Being
Unmanaged anger can contribute to emotional distress, including feelings of guilt, shame, and regret. Anger management can help individuals gain better control over their emotions, leading to greater emotional well-being and stability.
Stress Reduction
Chronic anger and irritability can lead to high levels of stress, which can have negative consequences on physical health. Learning to manage anger can reduce stress and contribute to overall well-being.
Better Decision-Making
Anger can cloud judgment and lead to impulsive or regrettable decisions. Anger management can help individuals maintain a calm and rational mindset, enabling better decision-making in challenging situations.
Health Benefits
Uncontrolled anger has been associated with various health issues, including heart problems, high blood pressure, and compromised immune function. Managing anger can lead to better physical health and a lower risk of stress-related illnesses.
Compassionate Anger Management Treatment
Our anger management programs provide a safe and supportive environment for you to explore the root causes of your anger, learn effective coping strategies, and develop healthier ways of expressing your emotions. Our experienced anger management counselors are dedicated to helping you navigate your journey toward emotional mastery.
Personalized Anger Management Treatment Plans
Anger is a complex emotion, and its triggers and manifestations vary from person to person. We recognize that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to anger management. When you choose Tennessee Behavioral Health, you'll receive a personalized anger management plan tailored to your specific needs and circumstances.
Anger Management Treatment Techniques
Our anger management treatment programs may include a variety of therapeutic techniques to help you gain control over your anger:
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a widely recognized approach by the American Psychological Association for addressing anger management issues. It helps you identify and change negative feelings, aggressive behavior, and destructive thought patterns that lead to angry outbursts. By implementing cognitive restructuring, CBT fosters positive emotions and encourages healthy emotion management.
Conflict Resolution Skills
Unmanaged intense rage can escalate into physical violence, domestic abuse, and strained life-enriching relationships. Learning effective responses to anger through anger management interventions helps individuals prevent conflicts from turning into explosive disorder episodes. Our therapy includes communication strategies and anger management courses to support better interactions.
Stress Reduction and Relaxation Techniques
Stressful situations can trigger intense emotion, leading to emotional outbursts. Our Anger Management Treatment program teaches progressive muscle relaxation, deep breaths, and other stress reduction techniques recommended by the National Institute of Mental Health. These strategies are crucial for staying calm in the current situation and reducing response to threats.
Emotional Regulation Skills
Learning to recognize and manage the physical and emotional signs of anger can help you respond more calmly and constructively.
Holistic Approach to Emotional Mastery
We understand that anger can impact various aspects of your life, from personal well-being to relationships and work. Our approach to anger management is holistic, addressing all these aspects to support your overall emotional health and personal growth.
Anger Management Support Groups
Participation in anger management support groups can significantly improve emotional regulation and foster a sense of control over anger issues. These groups provide low-stigma communities where individuals can connect with others facing similar challenges, including those managing chronic anger issues, emotional outbursts, and stressful situations. Support groups encourage accountability, positive development, and access to additional resources to help manage psychosocial stress, mental health disorders, and the impact of aggressive behavior on interpersonal relationships.
