That’s why we’re proud to offer the Tennessee Behavioral Health Mental Health Awareness Scholarship—a $600 award for a student committed to promoting mental wellness and making a difference in the lives of others.

Scholarship Overview

  • Scholarship Amount: $600

  • Application Deadline: January 3, 2026

  • Winner Announced: January 19, 2026

Eligibility: Open to U.S. high school seniors and college students currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome applications from students who:

  • Are pursuing a field related to psychology, counseling, social work, public health, or other mental health disciplines.

  • Have personal experience with mental health or addiction—either their own or through supporting someone else.

  • Are dedicated to reducing stigma, increasing access to care, and advocating for mental health awareness in their communities.

How to Apply

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must submit:

  1. A 500–750 word essay answering:

    “How have mental health or addiction challenges impacted your life, and how do you plan to contribute to a better future for mental health care?”

  2. Proof of enrollment or acceptance at an accredited U.S. college or university (transcript, class schedule, or acceptance letter).

     

  3. Your full name, phone number, email address, and the name of your school.
