Healing, growth, a beautiful new beginning—and the new family I found along the way. My time at Tennessee Behavioral Health was a true journey of transformation. Through patience, compassion, and genuine care from the staff, I began to heal in ways I never expected. What started as an uncertain step toward change became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I found peace, clarity, and confidence, and left with a deep sense of self and purpose that I’ll carry forever. The house at Tennessee Behavioral Health is truly a place of comfort and healing. The outings and gym time were always enjoyable and gave us moments to relax, recharge, and feel normal again. Charles’s groups were meaningful and encouraging, helping us learn, grow, and connect. Attending church brought peace and renewal. The health care staff is beyond exceptional. Morgan, the Health Care Director, leads with compassion and integrity, setting the tone for the team. Leah Lima, APN, and nurses Laci, Candi, Meghan, and Chantelle are extraordinary—each provides care that goes far beyond medical needs. They listen, support, and make you feel truly seen and valued, and their kindness and dedication made each day feel safe and hopeful. The technicians—Scott, Dylan, and Jack—are amazing. They’re patient, funny, and genuinely care. Whether it was a conversation, a shared laugh, or help with something small, they always brought warmth and positivity. Chris, the chef, is wonderful—his food is incredible. Every meal tasted like it came straight from a five-star restaurant, and his kindness made dining something to look forward to every day. Johnna, my case manager, truly changed my life. She understood me deeply and was there every step of the way—listening, guiding, and supporting me through my growth. Her compassion, humor, and steady encouragement helped me rediscover parts of myself I thought were gone. Johnna is one of those rare people who make you feel seen and supported no matter what, and I’ll always be grateful for her. Allison, the Program Director, is one of the most compassionate and genuine people I’ve ever met—and hilarious in the best way. Her humor brightens even the hardest days, and her laughter fills the house with warmth. Beyond that, Allison is an exceptional leader—she balances professionalism with heart, always taking time to listen and understand. She goes above and beyond for everyone under her care, advocating fiercely and offering support that’s both wise and heartfelt. Her empathy and authenticity make her someone who instantly feels like home. Albert, the Director of Tennessee Behavioral Health, is the heart and soul of the program. His dedication and compassion are unmatched. He pours his heart into every part of Tennessee Behavioral Health—the home, the staff, and every client. The love and effort he invests are felt in every corner of the house. Albert leads with sincerity, vision, and a true commitment to helping others heal. His presence inspires trust, hope, and belonging. His passion has built something truly special—something that changes lives every single day. I thank God for being blessed with Tennessee Behavioral Health. It isn’t just a program—it’s a family. I love each of them dearly for the compassion, encouragement, laughter, and faith they poured into me. They believed in me until I could believe in myself. Because of them, my life is filled with peace, confidence, and hope—and I’ll forever be grateful for everything Tennessee Behavioral Health gave me. ❤️

Whether you need medical intervention, emotional support, or simply someone to talk to at 3 AM, our staff is always available.

Our Rehab Services for Gatlinburg Residents

Tennessee Behavioral Health offers a full continuum of addiction treatment and mental health services. Our comprehensive approach addresses both the physical aspects of addiction and the underlying psychological factors that contribute to substance use.

Depression Treatment

Depression and addiction frequently occur together, each condition making the other worse. Our depression treatment program uses evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, medication management when appropriate, and holistic approaches to help you find relief from depressive symptoms while building skills for lasting recovery.

Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety disorders often drive people toward substance use as a way to cope with overwhelming feelings. Our anxiety treatment addresses the root causes of your anxiety through therapy, stress management techniques, and healthy coping strategies that replace substance use with sustainable wellness practices.

LGBTQ+ Mental Health

LGBTQ+ individuals face unique mental health challenges including minority stress, discrimination, and identity-related concerns that may contribute to substance use. Our affirming treatment approach addresses these specific needs in a supportive environment where you can be your authentic self throughout recovery.

Alcohol Detox

Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous and even life-threatening without proper medical supervision. Our alcohol detox program provides 24/7 medical monitoring, medication-assisted treatment to manage withdrawal symptoms, and compassionate support to help you safely clear alcohol from your system and prepare for ongoing treatment.

Fentanyl Detox

Fentanyl is one of the most dangerous opioids, and detox requires specialized medical attention. Our fentanyl detox program uses medication-assisted treatment protocols specifically designed for synthetic opioid withdrawal, ensuring your safety and comfort during this critical first step in recovery.

Xanax Detox

Benzodiazepine withdrawal from Xanax requires careful medical management due to potentially serious complications. Our Xanax detox program provides gradual tapering protocols under close medical supervision, managing withdrawal symptoms while keeping you safe and as comfortable as possible.

Opiate Detox

Opiate addiction creates powerful physical dependence that makes quitting without help extremely difficult. Our opiate detox program combines medication-assisted treatment with medical monitoring to ease withdrawal symptoms, reduce cravings, and give you a stable foundation for continued recovery work.

Heroin Detox

Heroin withdrawal is intensely uncomfortable, but our medical team makes the process as manageable as possible. Our heroin detox program provides medications to alleviate symptoms, continuous medical supervision, and emotional support to help you through this challenging but essential phase of recovery.

Prescription Drugs Detox

Prescription drug addiction often develops from legitimate medical use, creating unique challenges for treatment. Our prescription drugs detox program addresses dependencies on painkillers, sedatives, and other medications with individualized protocols that account for your medical history and specific substances involved.

Benzo Detox

Benzodiazepine detox requires specialized expertise due to the risks associated with withdrawal. Our benzo detox program uses medically supervised tapering schedules and supportive medications to ensure safe withdrawal while minimizing discomfort and protecting against serious complications.

Meth Detox

Methamphetamine addiction causes significant changes to brain chemistry that require time and support to heal. Our meth detox program provides medical monitoring, nutritional support, and therapeutic interventions to help manage the psychological symptoms of meth withdrawal and prepare you for comprehensive treatment.

Cocaine Detox

While cocaine withdrawal is primarily psychological rather than physically dangerous, it presents significant challenges including intense cravings and depression. Our cocaine detox program provides supportive care, therapy, and medical attention as needed to help you through withdrawal and into sustained recovery.

Substance Use Treatment

Beyond detox, lasting recovery requires addressing the underlying causes of addiction. Our substance use treatment programs combine individual therapy, group counseling, family involvement, and skills training to help you understand your addiction, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and build a life that supports sobriety.

Men's Detox

Men often face unique pressures and barriers to seeking addiction treatment. Our men’s detox program creates a supportive environment where men can address substance use alongside issues like trauma, relationship problems, and societal expectations in a space designed for their specific needs.

Women's Detox

Women experience addiction differently than men, often with distinct underlying causes and treatment needs. Our women’s detox program provides gender-specific care that addresses issues such as trauma, hormonal factors, family responsibilities, and the unique social pressures women face in recovery.

Inpatient Residential Treatment

Our inpatient residential treatment program provides immersive, round-the-clock care in a structured therapeutic environment. Residential treatment removes you from triggers and stressors while providing intensive therapy, medical support, and skill-building in a community of peers committed to recovery.
